We will always have an imaginary look of us for wedding. But trust me we can never achieve that. But yeah I believe these few suggestions can help you sort out the problems in achieving what you dreamed off.So here are the few steps to go through the whole process.
1. Do some ground work by checking the bridal look online
2.Have an imaginary look of yourself as a bride
3.Select color of the saree you are going to wear
4.Choose the Blouse Style
5. Based on the blouse Pattern Plan your jewels
6.Based on your saree and jewels plan your hairstyle and Make up
7.Yeah if you will wear shoes, go with your jewel color
For this week I have a traditional but stylish look for the bride. See if you like it. I have selected red color look for my big day with same color blouse. If you are shopping for saree go to all the shops in your city check only for the color you have decided. Do not waste your time checking all the patterns and colors. And if you did so you will definitely loose your track of what you want. So be focused in your imaginary color. Once you are done with your city try checking out in Kancheepuram once. you may happen to get the same saree and pattern for less price. This saree after searching in Coimbatore and Chennai I ended up buying from Kancheepuram. It costed me around 30k(Indian rupees).
So one biggest task was over, now goes the next big thing. Selecting the blouse pattern. Based on the saree color and type of look your hoping to achieve choose your blouse pattern. If you have selected Red or Maroon same colour blouse goes great with the saree . Because these color silk saree doesn't look great with their contrast color. Imagine this red color saree with green or blue blouse on your wedding day? Yes it looks gross. And for the stone work or embroidery work you can add some contrast colors if you wish to. So for this blouse i have used big Mustard color stones. The big stones will definitely give the bang to your blouse . The rest of the blouse are with small white stone. I prefer stone work for the wedding blouse than embroidery. I stitched blouse with puff selves with the border below to give it a traditional look. Do the stone work first and then stich your blouse. This type of stone work may cost you around 6k(Indian Rupees). I got the blouse stitched from Paavithras, RS Puram, Coimbatore. They will charge you around 2.5k(Indian Rupees) for a wedding blouse.
Now its time to select your jewels. Decide how many jewels are you going to wear. In south India bride will wear atleast 4 gold neck chains during their wedding. Its upto you to go for gold or temple jewels. Since I selected Red color saree Gold jewels go great with them. The first thing you got to select is your necklace or the first chain. Then select the last chain. And based on the first and last select the rest. For my saree i selected Antique jewels with pink and green stone. These jewels were custom made for my wedding. The second and the third chain also of the same pattern like the necklace. To match with my saree I asked the gold smith to do a red polish on all the jewels. Always make sure your stud matches your necklace. One tip for the bride with round or long face , buy big stud. It will make you look prettier. The hip chain should also match with your necklace. And an another rule is that your hip chain and arm chain should match. The best part of the jewels is your forehead chain or tikka and your nose ring. This three layer tikka was custom made to match with rest of the jewels. Wear white stone or red stone nose ring . This nose ring is from temple jewellery.
Once the above things are done, believe me rest all will fall in place easily. Now you can relax and choose your hairstyle based on your saree and jewels. I chose front partition with a high puff at the back because the three chain tikka will perfectly fit in there. For the rest of the hair you can use some extensions to make it long and do normal braid. You can add more charm to your braid by adding some braid accessories. But make sure it goes with your jewels. Flowers you can customize based on your saree color. But I chose to make it simple yet stunning with white Jasmine. White flowers goes contrast to Red saree.
For Wedding try bold eyes, Round bindi. Since its a red saree I chose to put on red lip color and red mixed eye shadow. I prefer to use MAC products for the makeup. For Red lip color you can also try FACES red passion(matte).Make over credits goes to Toni n Guy, Peelamedu, Coimbatore. You can totally trust these people. I felt safe in their hands.
Last but not least choose your footwear matching your accessories. I bought this stilettos from bangalore. It was around 2.5k. This is Antique design copper shade. It did look stunning with the whole look.
So love the look?? Happy shooping :)
Make your big day Stunnig..........
